Where it all began was when I was a young mom (early 30's) in a new community in desperate need of getting out and meeting new people. Once I started doing that, the love of the arts was instant. Where it all began was when I was a young mom (early 30's) in a new community in desperate need of getting out and meeting new people. Once I started doing that, the love of the arts was instant. I fell in love with creating, playing, and experimenting. I found myself trying so hard to "get it right" for the first 12+ years, and that's when I was introduced to mixed media. Now I'm trying to unlearn what I learned in the first 12 years.
Each year that passes I become more and more impressionistic or what I like to call abstract flavored.. These days I continue to try and stay loose while finding that all important creative flow. This journey will never end, at least I hope not.

Anne use many different mediums, such as upcycled materials, acrylics, and pastels. She believes that working in a single medium is too restrictive and interferes with her artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. Her passion is to teach that there are no rules.. and no waste. just keep playing and you will find out for yourself.
